Believe me, there is Noth...Oh yes! and yet Oh no!
Believe me, there is Nothing so wonderful as the feel and swing of a well cut mink coat [or sable I am sure] as it wraps one in exquisite luxury. Forget diamonds, much as I love them too ... though only to look at, never having worn them. But back to furs, I used to model them in my miss-spent youth, when 'everyone, Darling' had at least a little bit of rabbit. The glamour of them, to say nothing of the extraordinary craft required to cut and match the skins and work them into a floating multi-pieced miracle, was beyond imagining.
I still have, at the bottom of my cupboard, a beautiful silver Mongolian lamb stole, which I sometimes get out to air and cherish and wrap around me and dream, and deeply regret that it is now completely unwearable ... but that's life.Penelopenoreply@blogger.com
